A NEW JERSEY EVENT VENUE
OVERFLOWING
WITH HISTORICAL CHARM
Founders Grove was created with heart, honoring its past while thoughtfully designing a place where people can celebrate. Rooted in our love for new beginnings, we’ve given this historic property a renewed purpose, one meant to be shared. More than a venue, it’s a welcoming space to gather, connect, and create memories.
An Estate Garden Venue Where Historic Charm Meets Refined Celebrations.
For the past twelve years, Denise and Steve have dedicated themselves to preserving and revitalizing the historic Albertson Farmhouse. They’ve now realized their vision of transforming it into a one-of-a-kind venue. With decades of experience in the event business, their plans were cut out for them. Our sister company Leigh Florist inspired the reinvention of this remarkable property, and shaped its future as Founders Grove.
Originally established in 1743, the farm has been thoughtfully renewed to offer visitors a fresh, welcoming experience. A grove of native trees embraces the farmhouse exterior, while inside, exposed brick, wide plank wood floors, and preserved architectural details evoke a sense of timeless nostalgia—all seamlessly complemented by modern amenities.
In the spring of 2026, we will introduce a stunning new carriage house, featuring a modern-farmhouse design and the comforts needed to host a wide range of gatherings. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate ceremony beneath the trees, a vibrant garden celebration, or a nature-inspired corporate retreat, Founders Grove offers a setting that feels both deeply personal and truly unforgettable.
Stunning Farmhouse Dates Back to 1743
At the heart of Founders Grove sits a beautifully preserved brick farmhouse. Filled with history and character, it’s an ideal backdrop for weddings and special gatherings. Built in 1743, it still carries its original marble plaque. “Built by Josiah Albertson 1743, rebuilt by Chalkley Albertson 1865.”
The surrounding land was first settled in 1682 by a Dutch Quaker family, laying the groundwork for the South Jersey community we know today. The Albertson family became key figures in shaping the area, contributing to road building, town planning, and local development. As community founders, they opened their farmhouse for meetings and even used it as a temporary school while the town’s schoolhouse was being built.
As we look to the future, we’re honored to be at the heart of life’s most meaningful moments. We look forward to hosting weddings, showers, celebrations, and gatherings of all kinds. Our vision for Founders Grove extends beyond private events. We plan to host chef dinners and experiences that invite neighbors and visitors alike to enjoy the beauty and warmth of this special place. We’re excited to continue growing as a garden venue destination where memories are made.
